I know, I know. Yes it’s a Jeep.

But hey…we’re buddies.

Trooper V6 – On the Road Again…

Driver - Jammin' the Alaskan tundra...

Yo Yo Trooper V6 dudes. Sorry to have been away for so long but that needed to be. I had to deal with an elderly parent and those needs continue. While it may make times a bit hard it is still wonderful to have mom around for us to joke and laugh with so we will deal with it and celebrate her life while we still can. – Thank you for your understanding.

This situation will no doubt put some brakes on some of the fun things I’d like to do here on Trooper V6 such as upgrades and adventures, but it is what it is. I will do what I can with what I have and try to make the best of it. We all have to deal with the times the way they are. What is important is that we enjoy the life we have and make our days as happy and as fulfilling as we can. That’s a part of what Troopers are for and one of the reasons we love them.

To that end, I am going to expand the range of what we do here at Trooper V6. Certainly I will continue to cover what fixes I have to make to keep old Mr. Movida running and cover some of those maintenance aspects I spoke about covering early on. Adventures may be a bit closer to home and probably further apart then I would like but, well…

To make up for that, I hope you won’t mind if I through in a few ancillary goodies from time to time to help make the site a bit more enjoyable. These things won’t always be just Trooper stuff but may include other things we all enjoy along with our Troopers. I am talking about things that would run the range of things like camping and off road gear, good times at the bar-b-que with buddies, good timin’ music and maybe even review a good beer or two when we come across them. I hope you will enjoy these endeavors like I know I will and that you will join in on the conversations with your own comments, stories and photos.

Having a forum with this site is one of my goals. I would like to see a forum where we can all discuss fixes, adventures, gear and equipment, sourcing parts, tools, and the other odds and ends mentioned above and who knows to where forum contents can take us. Forums take some time to set up properly and to moderate so I have to ask for patience here because time is at a premium but I think a forum would be a real plus for bringing us all together and helping us to enjoy our Troopers.

Trooper V6 does have a Twitter account and I will try to get the Facebook page working properly (not too user friendly that Facebook platform when it comes to figuring out how to do things. I may ask for your help on that from time to time). Trooper V6’s Facebook page is a good place to share photos and videos with other Trooper V6 fans. I will have the link up soonest (once I get it all figured out).

So, other than all of that, what say we see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into…

Important Notice from Trooper V6

There has arisen an unfortunate medical situation in my family which will require my absence for the immediate future. I am not certain as to how long I will be away from this blog. Be assured though, that I will try to keep this program going and will reengage as soon as is practically possible. Thank you for your understanding and please watch for further notices through our Twitter Trooper V6 and Facebook accounts.

Patience please

Places to go...

Sorry for the delay in posting. Things have been adding up on me. My daughter’s computer downloaded one of those phoney antivirus trojans and it has taken up way too much of my time (and unfortunately seems to be winning). I almost had it but then at the last minute things went to hell. I can’t say enough bad about the humans (terms used lightly) who do this sort of thing to good people. What I would personally do to them if given the opportunity is…well, this is a public forum but you get the idea.

Anyway, I intend to follow up the photos posted on the altenator fix with a write up on it and then I have several other maintenance and repair articles and photos I intend to follow up with after that from work I have done this past year. I rebuilt Mr. Movida’s TBI in September and replaced several sensors, etc. Items we all need to deal with to keep these guys running and in compliance with smog.

Feel free to comment or send me a note on the contact page. I also intend to get the forum up on the 2.8L asap. Unlike the other two Isuzu forums, this one will deal primarily with the first generation 2.8L build outs. Maybe we won’t get so lost in the major forums that way.

So, y’all have a great day and enjoy your drive.

Finally – an update and a theme

Sorry this took so long to get started. There are reasons but I’ll make no excuses.

The site is still in the building stage (uh, that’s obvious, no?) trying different themes, plugins and just generally learning how to do this blog stuff. If you will bear with me in time we can have some fun here and we can all enjoy this designation of Trooper.

A job well done deserves reward
