Meet Mr. Movida ……………………………………………. & Meet Driver
Yo Trooper Dudes
Welcome to Trooper V6.
Hands down, my 1991 Trooper II, 2.8L LL2 Engine Code R GMC 60 degree, TBI, 5 Speed is the best and most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned. Simply put, “I love it”. In fact, I love it so much I decided to give it it’s own website / blog. My Trooper goes by the handle of Mr. Movida and Mr. Movida went over 300,000 miles in June of ’09.
On this blog, I look to cover what fixes are made to keep old Mr. Movida running and cover some of those maintenance aspects as well. Adventures, photos and video and other fun stuff will also make their way onto the pages and posts of this blog from time to time, just to keep it moving and keep things interesting.
So I hope you won’t mind if I throw in a few ancillary goodies from time to time to help make the site a bit more enjoyable. These things won’t always be just Trooper stuff but may include other fun stuff we all enjoy along with our Troopers. I am talking about things like camping and off road gear, good times at the bar-b-que with buddies, good timin’ music and maybe even review a good beer or two when we come across them. I hope you will enjoy these endeavors like I know I will and that you will join in on the conversations with your own comments, stories and photos.
Having a forum to accompany this site is one of my goals. I would like to see a forum where we can all discuss How To fixes, awesome adventures, the best gear and equipment, sourcing those odd and sometimes hard to find parts, trick tools, and the other odds and ends and who knows to where forum contents can take us. A Forum more specific to this vintage of Trooper so it doesn’t all get lost in the big named forums we do partake in. Forums take some time to set up properly and to moderate so I have to ask for patience here because time is at a premium, but I think a forum would be a real plus for bringing us all together and helping us to enjoy our Troopers.
Trooper V6 does have aTwitter account and Trooper V6’s Facebook page would be a good place to share photos and videos with other Trooper V6 fans.
So, other than all of that, what say we see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into… Driver
